Accomplishments

George E. Marifian is a founding shareholder of Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. providing a full range of legal services to clients throughout Illinois and Missouri. He retired after more than 40 years from his practice: (i) representing closely held businesses and individuals in business organization and planning, governance, sales and acquisitions and disputes among owners; (ii) civil tax audits, appeals and federal and state civil tax disputes, criminal tax defense and tax collection disputes; (iii) trust and estate planning and probate; (iv) real estate transactions and (v) litigation related to these practice areas. George has served as an arbitrator in numerous cases over the past thirty years. He is qualified in Illinois to serve as a court-appointed mediator in all civil disputes other than Family Law. He is recognized by the Illinois Leading Lawyers Network and by the Illinois Super Lawyers publications and is a recognized tax authority.
