Accomplishments
Mr. Kasnetz is a longtime partner at Sandberg Phoenix and one of the firms’ lead trial and appellate lawyers. He also serves as the firm’s General Counsel. Andy’s practice focuses primarily on business and commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has tried over 40 cases to conclusion, as well as briefed and argued over 20 appeals, practicing in State and Federal Courts. These cases include contracts and business torts, class actions, shareholder disputes, software development, lender liability, antitrust, predatory lending, and real estate. The class action cases include antitrust, lender liability, predatory lending, employment, and consumer claims.
Andy began his career as an appellate law clerk and has been in private practice since. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation each year since 2015. In 2019, Andy authored a chapter entitled “Timing of Mediation” in the ABA publication From the Trenches, Third Edition. Andy has recently been appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri School of Law and will teach a core course in Arbitration in the school’s nationally recognized Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
After many years of serving as an advocate in mediations and arbitrations, Andy now mediates and arbitrates sophisticated business and commercial cases, including class actions. In addition, Andy also mediates high value family law matters.
