Hon. Patricia A. Riehl

Accomplishments

Judge Riehl served as a Circuit Judge, Associate Circuit Judge and Commissioner in the 23rd Judicial Circuit, Jefferson County, Missouri from 1987 to 2016. She previously served as the municipal court judge for the cities of DeSoto and Crystal City, Missouri. Prior to joining the state bench, she maintained a general civil litigation practice representing plaintiffs and defendants.  After taking the state bench, she was tasked with implementing problem solving court programs for the circuit as her role as the circuit’s only drug court commissioner.  In 2006, she was elected to Associate Circuit Judge and continued in that position until selected by Governor Jay Nixon as Circuit Judge in February 2016.  Judge Riehl was honored to serve as President of the Jefferson County Bar Association 1996.  She was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to serve as a disciplinary hearing officer concerning ethical complaints. Judge Riehl served her community by implementing truancy courts in two school districts in Jefferson County. She has presented Title IX training programs for numerous colleges and universities, as well as primary and secondary schools.
